Perhaps some of what you said, that really reveals truth, will reach others, if not him. Praying seeds were sown, in spite of evil intentions!

You have to wonder what kind of dysfunctional, abusive, brainwashing family that man grew up in. Not just crazy but evil-crazy. I’m so sorry you had to go through that but good for you for staking out your boundaries.

Back in the 1980’s I was the lone woman on my small city police force. I “got saved” at a Baptist church and dropped in at the church office one day when I was on duty to visit the secretary. One of the Deacons walked in - he was 6’5” tall and proceeded to lambaste me about how he’d never accept a speeding ticket from me, how he’d beat it in court - yammering all kinds of scripture verses at me - because I was a woman therefore there was no way he had to obey my sworn authority as a police officer. Etc etc and on and on.

I eventually met a man there, fell in love and married him in that church. We experienced all kinds of spiritual abuse and even though we went to other Baptist churches, I’ve always felt that everything I first Lear Ed there was a big, fat, lie. And when my husband joined the military and we left that city, I told him I’d never go to a Baptist church again and I haven’t. I’ve never seen such rampant misogyny anywhere as I have in the Baptist and Pentacostal denominations and that’s from being a pioneer in women in policing where I put up with a lot!

It sickens me that 30 odd years later these belief systems are still flowing through the evangelical church. Jesus must just weep at the way His are treated.

“Women’s minds are too weak to lead.”

”Women aren’t logical; they’re emotional.”

"Blessed are the peacemakers" .... 😉🙂 Though in his case I can see that that required the patience of Job himself.

But clearly another case -- along with Matt Walsh -- who's somewhat unclear on the difference between, on the one hand, stereotypes and personalities typical of each sex and, on the other hand, what it means to be male or female -- or neither -- in the first place. Basically the dichotomy between sex and gender which far too many, particularly on the right, apparently haven't a clue about, and are too dogmatic -- not to say "pigheaded" -- to even countenance.

Somewhat apropos of which, you might have some interest in a recent post by Kara Dansky on "What is a TERF and Why it Matters in Today’s Political Climate", and my comment thereon:

She makes a number of decent points, and is doing yeoman's work -- yeowoman's work? -- in beating the bounds of women's rights. However, I think she's rather too quick to throw stones at the ideas of gender and gender-identity while not realizing that they are, at best, just synonyms for personalities and personality types. Moot whether she -- along with Peterson and Walsh and many others -- is more a part of the problem than of the solution.

That man is truly awful and hate-filled! I had assumed that he reserved the frankly cartoon-ish level of misogyny for those he considers to be his political enemies ie those on the Left and far Left (so much as those exist in the US). I'm sorry that he couldn't see beyond his own reactionary tendencies that your story is one of value and a timely warning about the excesses of a social movement which actually threatens the freedoms of all Americans, whether male or female.

What an awful thing to have to endure, but it sounds like you did it with a great deal of grace and dignity. I hope that you can put such an awful experience behind you.

I'm so grateful you did that interview. You showed yourself off well. Many other agreed in the comments, I noticed. Jesse is a good man, he asks tough questions out of love.

People are no longer challenged in their beliefs and the devil has deceived them to live a lie. You held your own. Your a tough lady, all the best.

Thank you. Jesse is decidedly NOT a “good man.” He is either profoundly stupid, or he’s just flat out evil.

Regardless, I appreciate your kind words.

I was subscribed to Jesse on YouTube although I only watch his stuff infrequently. I never noticed the misogyny. Maybe I should have. The way you were treated is despicable. It makes me question myself. I'm going to take another look at a couple of his videos.

I love your writing but you are still new to me. The article you wrote about your son and how he was treated in class was a real gut punch to me. It amazed me when you described how your prayers were answered. I'm afraid I'm not much of one for faith but yours is powerful and compelling. I'm looking forward to reading more which is great because I'm a new subscriber and I see there is a lot of it!

Kaeley, it seems like your intention is to be right. So why put quotation marks around words that were not uttered? Why not just stick to cherry picking quotes out of context that appeal to your angry fans? Why lie?

Thank you for hanging in with Jesse, he is a brutal interviewer with every one of his guests.

I had to watch him for almost a year before I came to understand how he sees the Gospel.

Some of his Biblical information is helpful.

In the comment section below the YouTube video I posted, “Jesse lost this one”.

Best regards,

Paul Michael

Hi - I just watched your interview with JLP and whilst I REALLY dislike feminism and the damage it does to men, I thought Jesse really mistreated you, you were as you mentioned, set up for a viral video where he would berate and insult his guest (you) for an hour for us all to laugh at. Well I didnt find it funny at all........Typically Im not overly interested in peoples feelings, Im far more interested in FACTS.....however there is NO need to go out of your way to try to belittle someone as he did you. He knows NOTHING of your personal circumstances, your relationships or anything else. All he knows is that youre a woman and a feminist - and thus you are the enemy. As Ive said already I dislike feminism, I think it does a LOT of harm to men, especially young men. But you presented yourself as someone with good intentions. Jesse clearly wanted to make an idiot out of you........and from my eyes, he made an idiot of himself. I hope one day you leave the feminism hatred cult behind - but you did NOT deserve to be treated like that and Im sorry he treated you that way, you seem to have a good heart. All the best.
