Thank you Kaeley. It's absolutely absurd to me that otherwise-rational people are prepared to sacrifice women's sports and spaces on the alter of "be kind." It's not kind. It's incredibly regressive, and shortsighted, and cruel. And Democrats are going to die on this hill.
"John McEnroe, controversial and bombastic as he may be, was not wrong when he asserted that Serena Williams would not be able to hang against elite male tennis pros."
Serena Williams even demonstrated how out classed she was by playing a set against a (IIRC, hungover) male pro ranked 202nd in the world in Australia and losing 6-1. Then her sister played him and lost 6-2 (I think, could be the other way around)
This was back in the late 1990s so clearly suitable for being completely forgotten by everyone, because the 1990s were practically the middle ages
Thanks for this, Kaeley. This issue is the reason that I, a lifetime Democrat (since 1982!) changed my registration last year to “independent,” and why I stopped donating to any Democrats in the last election. I used to give regularly. They need to wake up. Women’s rights extend way beyond reproductive healthcare.
“Whatever comes catapulting out of Satan’s playbook next will be infinitely worse.” That made me laugh. And cringe.
For all it’s horrific absurdities, you can almost see this idea being on the list of, “stupid things that humans will never fall for, but is a nice fantasy”, until it wasn’t.
I'm not even a based woman and this is so patently obvious I don't know what Oliver and his ilk are smoking. When do we get to cancel him for misogyny?
Interesting that "D's" Sponsored Title IX but now they want nothing to do with it!
The key legislators who sponsored and championed Title IX, which prohibits sex discrimination in educational programs and activities receiving federal funding, were Representative Patsy Mink (D-HI), Representative Edith Green (D-OR), and Senator Birch Bayh (D-IN).
Here's a more detailed look at their roles:
Patsy Takemoto Mink:
Mink, a Democrat from Hawaii and the first woman of color elected to the U.S. House of Representatives, is recognized as the major author and sponsor of Title IX. She was a fierce advocate for women's rights and educational equality.
Edith Green:
Green, a Democrat from Oregon, also played a crucial role in the passage of Title IX, working alongside Mink and Bayh. She was known for her commitment to education and social reform.
Birch Bayh:
Bayh, a Democrat from Indiana, introduced the Title IX provision in the Senate and was its chief sponsor in the Senate. He was a strong advocate for women's rights and equality.
No need. This offering of his is more valuable to us than any cash.
Just replay at election time and anyone wobbling on Trump will be reminded of one of the reasons he was elected in the first place.
Keep in mind how crazy these last few years have made the democrats.
A guy they were sure would be in PRISON, SHOT or otherwise decimated at the polls came back in the biggest way EVER and now is actually doing what he said he would do.
It almost makes one sorry for them...but not quite.
Oh good grief, I hadn't even thought of transplanted wombs. If they're not doing it yet, they will be before long. If I still had a womb, I'd be seriously rethinking organ donation.
I notice a trend lately that women speaking out against the trans insanity frame it as a male spearheaded movement. In my experience it’s always been women who spearheaded the movement more than men. In fact, the trans trend of the moment has mostly been girls proclaiming themselves men, hasn’t it? The average man has nothing but the deepest contempt for a man who wears a dress and expects to be taken seriously. It’s a visceral innate negative reaction for us. We’ve been shamed from expressing it during the past several decades (not entirely unjustifiably) first as regards effeminate gay men, and in the past decade as regards so-called trans people. And that shaming comes mostly from finger wagging pathologically empathic liberal women. As a general rule, men don’t chastise each other for being uncomfortable with feminine expression. We chastise each other for being pussies. I am not saying that’s a good thing. It’s just true. For example, I used to enjoy John Oliver. Now I think he’s an insufferable scolding pussy. I think most men are breathing an enormous sigh of relief that more and more women are saying no to the trans insanity. It’s about time! Only, don’t blame it on us please.
>It’s rich white male money funding the agenda and white liberal women cheerleading it.
Those ditzy airheads! 🙄
Reducing women’s responsibility and role in all this to passively “cheerleading” the moneyed male masterminds is a take so misogynistic it MUST be cope.
> And isn’t that always the way? When an issue disproportionately affects women, it’s always easy to shove it to the sidelines and pretend it’s secondary and inconsequential.
I cordially invite you to join us here in the 21st Century.
> As I write this essay, I’m fully aware of the many gloating men on the extreme right who think this fiasco is a hilarious death knell to the feminism they insist is to blame for the madness in the first place.
It isn’t at all hilarious, but it IS darkly ironic and demonstrably true. Denying reality won’t help; in fact, it's what got us here.
> It’s the same kind of gaslighting women endure on a regular basis from abusive men. “You’re overreacting.” “Care about something that matters.” “You think this is a big deal?” “Don’t be dramatic.”
The very same responses manbabies’ rights activists hear from women...
> Somehow there’s always a very convenient way to blame women for our own mistreatment and men behaving badly.
It's never “very convenient” to expect accountability from women, but you will NOT succeed in pinning this one on “patriarchy.”
> ...literally taking the same drugs used to castrate gay men in the 50s...
There's a lot more to the story. If you really want to understand the whole picture:
1. All athletic associations board authorities, plus the IOC and NCAA, are overwhelmingly male. They set the rules. They decide the policies. The head of USA fencing went so far to post a fake letter he lied and claimed to have received from a mother objecting to their policy, listing all the reasonable and common sense concerns Kaeley and other women raised, which showed he understand what our complaints are. He then posted a reply to his own fake letter basically telling the fake letter sender (whom he condescendingly described in his blog post as "Karen") that all her complaints bored him. That she's a bigoted transphobe. And including men with mental problems to not hurt their feelings is more important than fair competitions for women. If this is spearheaded by women, then why are all the men running athletic authorities so blasé and so quick to set policies to open up women's sports to men?
2. It does give the appearance that women are most supportive of this madness when women who object had been censored, deplatformed, and silenced in the most authoritarian ways for the last 10 or so years. Reddit completely smite and hammers down at the slightest, most milquetoast posts raising any questions. All such posts are removed. All women subreddits are prohibited from openly exclude males. Only porn subreddits with mainly male subs can exclude males and allow only women of the biological female kind. At the same time, social media and internet algorithm gave all to amplify and boost the most pro-trans madness voices.
3. Follow the $$. Male billionaires poured millions into all institutions from academia to hospitals to nonprofits (including legacy women organizations) to make pushing the trans movement a priority: https://www.the11thhourblog.com/post/the-dark-money-behind-the-trans-movement. This is a big reason why many women are saying this is a male spearheaded movement.
4. Everything that men did to push this ideology is intentionally not covered or reported by liberal MSM. This contribute to the impression that only it's the loudest women voicing support (and voices amplified by algorithms) are the ones pushing this. When Abigail Shrier published her book about rapid onset gender dysphoria in teen girls, Amazon (headed by Jeff Bezo) would not allow her and her publisher to advertise on Amazon. Trans activists pressured booksellers to not sell, or at least, hide her book.
5. For the more complex reasons why teen girls got into the trans craze, Shrier's book provides a lot of information. You can also listen to the podcast series, "The Witch Trials of JK Rowling."
In conclusion, what you're seeing is only a picture the ones in charge is showing you through smokescreen. The men spearheading this are not the typical guys with no stakes in the game.
Look at this survey. It breaks down support between men and women. Women have always been more supportive of this insanity than men. Yes, our institutions tend to be led by men. And our institutions have been captured by gender ideology. But think of the institutions that are most captured. Publishing, medicine, higher education. Those areas have become highly feminized in recent decades. Ladies, gender theory is a product of third-wave feminism. Not the so-called patriarchy. We can all be allies on the side of reality. Let's not scapegoat men as the villains again. Please?
How are we scapegoating men? You said “spearheaded”. In my book, pouring millions of dollars to impose this on the wider society, using algorithms to suppress dissent, and using power of leadership in organizations such as sports governing bodies is the textbook definition of spearhead.
The army of liberal women parroting these are the grunts on the ground. They battle in the frontline but are in fact being royally screwed over because they’re suckers.
He such a disgusting excuse for a human. Just when I thought he was the most ignorant man I have ever heard, he proved himself to be worse, over and over. I cannot fathom how he has a show. And his audience—- they laughed? He is the opposite of funny. Or smart. Mocking women and girls. Oh wait. Yes I can understand became look at what society has allowed to happen to children, women and girls. I am sick.
As good old Flannery O'Connor said, "the truth doesn't change according to your ability to stomach it emotionally."

If you REALLY want to get with the program, stop using euphemisms to describe dismembering a child within your womb.
It is a GUARANTEE that the health of that otherwise preborn to be able to reproduce as Mother Nature intended was not considered.
So well said!! Thank you!!

Dear John Oliver- Donald Trump is still waiting for that campaign check.

It's definitely part of their agenda: "Could the female-to-male transgender population be donor candidates for uterus transplantation?"

I’ve been speaking out about it since 2015. It’s rich white male money funding the agenda and white liberal women cheerleading it.
Men and women created this mess. Men and women must work together to fix it.

I can assure you I do not need this lecture.
This movement is driven by rich white make money as cheerled by white liberal women.

Yeah, just another woman-hating liberal. No surprise.
